The how and why

Hi all. Okay. Here's what went wrong. I think the main thing that we did wrong in the first place is that Bas and I quite late decided for sure that we wanted to go to Le Mans. For some time we just were thinking and brain storming about it but didn't decide. At that point the only tickets that were left for four of the Grand Stands at the circuit of Le Mans could only be obtained locally over there at the ticket offices and we were not going to go over there and take a gamble on weather or not there were going to be tickets left and if they would suit us. The thought of doing the distance of about eight hundred and fifty kilometers twice without having a bit of certainty didn't quite appeal to us. So we thought about it and didn't go there. Now we're going to make a plan for going next year, so that should be well in time to get things organized I think. All in all it's really sad we were not there because up and until we started looking for the tickets everything seemed to be working out just fine. But unfortunately it didn't. I guess these things happen. However the good news is that now we had the time to do a nice and long race weekend and we were able to see the Formula One race on Canada this evening, so this was a small comfort to the gee-bummer-feeling we were having. The ninety six hours of race weekend ;-)
