For numerous reasons we missed both our home and out game of snooker with the team from Doetinchem and last Thursday was the first of three games in total we finally played. Yesterday was the second game we played and we won that one too which obviously made us happy again. It was our home game so we had the doubtful 'benefit' of knowing just how bad the tables at Matchroom (our snooker center) are getting these days. Ever since the owner 'saw the light' coming from a bunch of darters (no offence) he's not done any maintenance to the tables at all. Even his beloved table 1 is in poor condition considering the state it's in normally. My thought is that if nothing happens over there pretty soon it's only a matter of time before (snooker playing) people will leave that place, and that's myself included. At the moment it's almost becoming embarrassing to invite teams over for our home games with the state our tables are in at the moment. And playing there is getting more and more annoying, for more than the state of the tables alone.

Snooker went pretty good last night. After we got there a little late Bas won all three of his frames, Jaap won one and I won two of mine so in the end we had a six - three win over the other team. Made us happy. ;) Only problem I had was that I had started the day with a slight headache that just wouldn't leave my head and when we got there it turned out they had heated snooker tables and I just can't stand heat. Not even from a snooker table. So half a strip of aspirins later I was glad to be able to go home.

My sister celebrated her thirty first birthday last night (her real birthday is next Tuesday) and even though I didn't stay for very long I probably have been standing on my feet too long because I can feel it in my back pretty good today. However I did enjoy the party and I know she did too so it was worth it. Luckily the weekend is one day longer this time so I'll just take it easy and it'll be fine tomorrow I'm sure.

I guess it's the time of the year for hardware troubles again, because my video card, which is little over one year old now, has unfortunately stopped working. I noticed it making some weird graphic distortions while I was racing and about an hour later it was dead as disco. So now my TCFKANPC (the computer formerly known as ninja PC) is back using the raw power of an MX440 video card my dad had stashed away which means that as of now only my two oldest games will work: Virtual Poolhall and Starship Titanic. Hopefully in the beginning of next week I'll know whether or not I'll need a new one or if this one is still in warranty and will be replaced. Either way I'm looking at a week and a half without video power ...
